Next weekend, I’m going to Catalina for the first time! Our friends are having a joint Bachelor/Bachelorette party so Mark and I headed out to live the island life. If you aren’t familiar, we have the “Channel Islands” right here off the coast of Southern California. Catalina is the only one that’s inhabited and it has some cute shops, hotels and beach clubs. It only takes an hour by ferry and it’s supposedly got a coastal European vibe which you know I love.
For the Ferry
We’ve got an early morning ferry ride so I want to be cozy, but cute. MOST importantly for me, I DON’T want to be cold. There’s not much I hate more in life than shivering, tbh. My go-to for dressing up super casual outfits is layers and layers of gold jewelry & some elegant, oversized sunnies.

Beach Club
Beach club to me means beach, but elevated. Basically it becomes socially acceptable to wear all the bougie sh*t I always want to wear to the beach and don’t have to deal with side eye. Going Out
You know on a Bachelorette party there’s going to be at least one big GOING OUT night. I’ve been told Catalina is more casual, so to opt for the classic “jeans & a cute top” vs heels and dress, but I’d rather have something and not need it, than need something and not have it, so… A low block heel is BASICALLY flats, am I right? If I must, I’ll bring something delicate like an ancient Greek sandal
