Home Tour – Patina Farm

Modern Mediterranean meets French country exterior

The other day I was quarantimes scrolling IG when I came across a video that made me feel like I’d stepped into a fairytale. It was a look through golden morning mist at life on THE most magical farm. Roses and topiaries and cats and chickens and donkeys – I felt like I was in the garden of Eden meets Noah’s Ark. It turns out, heaven is actually right next to my hometown! It was Patina Farm, in Ojai, California.

Naturally, I spent the next few hours… I mean, minutes stalking everything Patina Farm and realizing:
1. I need to get out of LA and move home to the country immediately
2. I had unknowingly been saving photos of the home there, built by architect and designer couple Steve and Brooke Gianetti, to my Pinterest boards for years!

I absolutely love the charm infused into every detail of this home. My dream home is very European inspired and I’d classify my ideal home style as Mediterranean meets California. This beautiful home embodies just that in a rustic yet elevated way.

I love following Brooke on Instagram and seeing her share insights into her design process for different areas of their home and Patina Farm overall. They sourced the majority of the fixtures and finishes in Europe, and she shares fun tips for hiding things like clutter and wires. Obviously, they did everything with an incredible attention to detail. The Gianettis share more of their home tips in their various books which I’ve linked below.
This home is one of the closest I’ve seen to what I’d day is my “dream home.” What do you think?
