10 Fall Fashion Essentials

Fall definitely has it’s fashion staples but I feel like you can also go with a certain Fall “theme” within that. Some years I want flannel and cozy knit sweaters but this year I’m feeling the model-off-duty, elevated casual vibe. I basically want my outfits to feel like I could be wandering around the streets of Paris en route to a hot tea and baguette even if I’m just popping into Trader Joe’s lol. The good thing about this vibe is it is the perfect line between elevated and casual, so it works for a variety of settings.

Here’s a peek into my mental Fall moodboard with the key pieces you need to make it happen. {All pics sourced from Pinterest}

Baseball Hat: This pulls any look together into that causal-cool aesthetic, and also helps when you hair is a mess. I own and love THIS, THIS & THIS and love all the top sellers HERE

Trousers: Keep them from looking like you’re going to work by doing wide-leg and pairing with a crop top & sneakers. I’ve had my eye on THESE and THESE and love the wide leg styles HERE

Oversized Blazer: A must have. I’ve thrifted a few gems from the men’s section this year, I just ordered THIS and love THESE as well

Platform Boots: These elevate a look but the flat heel keeps looks casual and walkable. I love THESE with a trench and shorts or short skirt and the cutout side on THESE looks like it would be super flattering. Also love knee high like THIS or over-the-knee.

Heeled Boots: A heeled boot will never go out of style. Chunky or thin heel, if they switch up it will come back around. I recently ordered THESE and love them so much (love anything by SCHUTZ) . THESE are on my dream list but love THESE at a much lower price point (very similar to a pair I have and love that are no longer made!) Also love the selection HERE.

Sneakers: The ultimate cool-girl Fall accessory. I never thought I’d be a fashion sneaker gal but I got these recently and I’m obsessed. If it’s good enough for Hailey Bieber, it’s good enough for me lol. Style with trousers or a mini dress with an oversized shirt or blazer. Love Veja and New Balance for the French Girl look.

Crop Top: As a petite girl, crop tops are a staple for me. I know they aren’t doable in every climate, but I really feel a little strip of skin helps break up a big blazer, trousers etc and keep the look modern. I usually get mine from HERE, HERE or HERE

Belt: Belts are having a MOMENT. Chic, slim belts against an oversized trouser is absolutely a vibe. My dream would be a Celine like THIS or something similar vintage. Also love THIS and more great options HERE.

Sleek Bag: With all the oversized pieces going on this season (oversized blazer, trousers etc) it is important to carry a sleeker, more structured bag silhouette to balance. Love THIS (any bag from NEOUS honestly) & THIS or the Lee Radziwell style HERE.

Trench Coat: Forever a classic, opt for an oversized fit right now. Wear over layers or a mini skirt or dress, the long silhouette and oversized fit help balance the look out. I just got THIS and also scored some beauties thrifting in the men’s section.
