Do you ever feel transported by certain patterns or colors? Gingham {especially in blue} always takes me to a sunny porch in the country sipping sweet tea with lemon slices in it. There’s something so comforting and happy about this print and it makes the perfect Spring outfit.
When I saw this off the shoulder top I was already mentally kicking back with my Southern cocktail- and may have mentally added a splash of vodka to keep things interesting. While we are keeping things interesting…
Thoughts on Magic
Do you believe in your own magic? Clues from it are everywhere if you open your eyes to see them. Stop questioning your worthiness. I promise the universe is whispering affirmations to you every step of the way, but if you endlessly question it, it’s going to get sick of arguing. Eventually it may even start to believe you. Much easier to just flow with your dreams instead of fighting against yourself. ✨💫

Shooting this look with was a whisper of magic for me. I realized we were shooting next to a fancy restaurant I was a server at a few years back. I hated the job and would come home crying in the reg. Being back but doing work I love reminded me how far I’ve come since then. ⠀

Earlier this day I hit a mental speed bump- a “what’s the point” unhelpful thought pattern. Being open to the magic of this moment put that bump far in my rear view. Stop and take a look around today. Keep your eyes open for the magic whispers that are trying to get your attention. I promise you’ll be surprised.
Remember, “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it!”
I love a good blue and white moment whether it’s in fashion or home accessories so when I spotted these shorts I didn’t even try them on, just threw them in the bag and off we went. New besties. Turns out they were about 2 sizes too big, but I ended up just tying the bow a bit tighter and pulling them up higher essentially turning them into high waisted paper bag-style shorts {ummm why are they called that?} and I LOVED THEM. This is a helpful tip if, like me, you have a bit of a booty which needs to be accommodated, but still require a small waist size. White shorts are a fav because they transition from Spring outfit to Summer outfit seamlessly. Today with and off the shoulder top, tomorrow with a crop or bikini top. Multitasking.
No Spring outfit, or any outfit IMO is complete without a vintage piece. So I paired my Mom’s tan leather clutch with my absolute favorite strappy heels. These heels are SO high but are hands down the most comfortable heels I own. I wore them on my wedding day and danced for hours with no regrets. Highly recommend.
So, the moral of the story is:
1. Look for Magic.
2. If your shorts don’t fit tie them higher and tighter. No bow? No problem! Use a belt or scarf.
3. Wear comfortable shoes.

C
