Happy weekend, Loves! Mark is working all weekend and I’m still recovering from hosting my college girlfriends last week {SO. MUCH. FUN.} so, naturally, I’m celebrating National Pizza Day and online window shopping from the couch.
My candles are burning, the new Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is on in the background {RECOMMEND} and I may or may not have just demolished a box of Sugarfina champagne gummy bears… so you could say I’m having a pretty nice life. I’m also obsessively searching for my current number 1 style crush:
White Shoes.
It’s a problem. I have been on the white shoe hunt pretty much non-stop since we began 2018. Now that I’ve realized how much I love them, I feel like I need them ALL.
White booties, white pumps, white slingbacks, white mules… like, how do I not already own even type of shoe in existence in white?! How could this have happened?
Unfortunately, my wallet doesn’t exactly feel the same way about all the white shoes. My wallet is grumpy. It has been in a bad mood for months and it is taking it out on the white shoes. #veryunfair
I decided to share the favs I’ve been obsessing over with you guys, so I can feel like all that white shoe shopping time wasn’t wasted. {I mean, is time spent shopping ever wasted? Creative retail therapy.} I would 100 force you all into a sisterhood of the traveling shoes sitch, but my feet are abnormally small so I don’t know how well that would work out for any of us. Such a shame. These are what I’m LOVING right now for white shoes of all different styles.
White Loafers & Mules
Ok, so these white Gucci mules are the ultimate for me right now. They are effortless elegance – which is what we want for everything in our lives, yes?! YES. These will go with everything and take even the most casual outfit to the next level. Right now I’m picturing ragged hem distressed jeans with a striped linen button down, but they would also be stunning with a flowy, floral sun dress or with a chic black suit set.
IMO these are classics that you will have forever and are TOTALLY worth the splurge if you can swing it. However, if you have a grumpy wallet like me, see below for another great option that it about 1/10th of the price.
I absolutely love these white mules. There are very subtle details in shoes that make them look either high or low quality, one being the thickness of the sole. These have a nice thin sole and smooth transition from leather to sole. The stitching looks delicate and you can never go wrong with a stacked wood heel. PLUS they’re less than $80! They also have a version with a gold buckle and while I am normally 100% ALL GOLD EVERYTHING, the gold looks a little cheap to me online so I would opt for the silver. However, I would love to see the gold in person to see if it’s just the photo that makes it look a little too bright.
These pearl mules are another option I’m loving. It has the feel of the Gucci slide but isn’t trying to be identical. The pearl and diamond detail gives it a feminine flair and, again, it has that super luxe look with the thin sole, stacked wood heel and delicate stitching for a super reasonable price.
I AM OBSESSED with these white loafers from Sam Edelman. Yes, they are technically a dupe for the Gucci loafers but I love how they made the bit detail more square. It has all the great moments and luxe finishes at a totally reasonable price. I have been feeling mules over everything lately, BUT I make break the rule for these. I just need to convince Mark that these are different shoes from the mules above and that it actually is imperative that I own both. Plz help.
DIE. Dying for these. Dead. What do I even say. They speak for themselves. Another splurge worth having.
White Booties
Yesssss. These boots were made for strutting. I love the angle at the top because sometimes I feel ankle booties can cut your calf strangely, so this high front and lower back is super flattering. Also very into the high, high heel and steep front slope down to the toe. They are reasonably priced for the quality, but if you’re looking for this look on budget, check out the next booties…
Ladies and gentleman, these ankle booties are UNDER $30. Do you see why I’m having a problem refraining from buying all. the. things? Again, the thing that makes these look much more luxe than the price is the : thin sole, delicate stitching, and pointed toe. Heels are often a dead giveaway for a budget shoe and, typically, this heel would be a bit thick where the heel meets the shoe for me, but it works because it’s a bootie and stylized with a bit of a lower heel.
Ankle booties are my JAM right now, obviously. I love the chunky heel on this one. The pointed toe and thin sole keep it chic. Back on the heel train, this thick heel cap would normally be a no-go for me BUT it works here 1- because the heel is thick and very stylized so it almost seems like an additional feature and 2- If you didn’t have thick cap on the bottom of this heel it would get ruined very quickly because it’s white leather. It needs the extra protection.
Ok, so I guess technically these are mules… but they’re bootie-ish and SO chic. They have an elegant rocker-vibe that immediately makes you like 42 times cooler.
White Slingbacks & Pumps
How CHIC are these?! They remind me of something Audrey Hepburn or my Grandmother Audrey would wear, but modernized. Low enough heel to be comfortable for long standing or walking.
Classic white pumps at a great price. These will go with everything. They’re timeless. A great closet staple.
Again, technically these are mules, but they’re giving me major pump vibes. I want to go to a polo match, brunch and a hardcore board meeting in these. So gorg.
Are you jumping on the white shoe train with me? Plz let me know if you snag any of these beauties so I can live vicariously through you.
Xx,
