First things first, if this title doesn’t trigger, “I look good in my new…boots. I know you see me in my new…boots” please take an immediate pause to watch this. You should also follow Rickey on IG, you’re welcome.
I recently snagged some NEW BOOTS, B*TCH, and I truly feel like a different person with an even bougier lifestyle. The change has been dramatic and I highly recommend it to anyone.
I’m picky AF about boots. As a petite gal, there are certain adjustments that must be made fashion-wise. Lemme tell ya, boots that are too wide or cut off at the wrong part of my calf are NOT the vibe. Here are my favorite boots of the season and how I’d style them.
Let’s start off with my newest babies, THESE beauties from Zara. They are iconic. I put them on and Mark GASPED then immediately asked me how much they were lol. The shock when I told him they were from Zara was reallll. A great quality boot and timeless. So far I’ve worn them with black denim cut-off shorts and a blazer, but they would also look so cute with a flowy mini or midi skirt, or with leggings or skinny jeans tucked inside. These make my legs look LONG {and they are v much not}. Lots of similar styles HERE.
Croc print boots are it this Fall. You’ve probably seen THESE in a variety of colors and patterns including python, Black and Hot Pink. They have other colorways HERE. Schutz is actually one of my favorite shoe brands in general, such great quality at a decent price point. The advantage of knee-high boots is they make your legs look miles long. Enhance this by pairing these with something that shows a strip of skin, like shorts or a mini skirt/dress. Because these are a bit dressy, dressing them down with something causal like an oversized t-shirt dress or a ribbed henley mini dress is ideal.
I have my friend Tessa to thank for these gorgeous boots. She has them in several fabrics and colors and every time she wears a pair I ask her who they’re by because they’re SO flattering. I hate when boots this style are wide at the ankle because you’re often wearing them peeking out of pants (as seen) or a dress. If the ankle is wide it is very unflattering. The cut on these is SO GOOD, and the heel is the perfect height. I’ve walked through airports with Tessa wearing these so they’ve got to be comfy too! They’re an investment but are timeless and so worth it. If you’re on a budget, THIS pair is very similar for under $125. Even more styles of this boot HERE.
Okay, honestly, the first time I saw this style of boot (Prada) I was like… those are ugly AF. I have now officially changed my tune. It’s a good kind of ugly to me now lol. BUT they have to be done RIGHT. Many have imitated the pricey PRADA og’s but few have captured their weird sexiness. Imitations often miss the mark because the sole is too thick or thin, the wrong shape, not separated or the ankle is too low or high. It’s all in the DETAILS with a boot like this. THIS PAIR is so gooooood {I can tell the cut will be flattering} I actually prefer them to the Prada pair and they’re under $80. I also love THESE under $60. More options HERE as well.
These boots may say cowgirl at first glance but I think if you’ll look a little deeper they’ll say FRENCH girl. I could totally see the most elegant French girl rocking a medium wash blue denim topped with a loose, tucked in t-shirt and an oversized {but tailored} blazer accompanying a classic Chanel double flap. She’s drinking a cappuccino and eating a French omelette at Cafe de Flore and I want to be her. Isabel Marant overall has some of the best boots I’ve ever seen, they’re pricey, but incredibly beautiful. These are similar at a lower price point.
This boot is super similar to my favorite pair of booties which were discontinued. They’re both by Stuart Weitzman, the boot god, and they easily transform any outfit. I style these here with sheer tights and a mini skirt but I also love them with skinny jeans tucked in or a mini dress.
Xx,
